<\/a>Zot! Our carriage with the precious cargo arrives<\/p><\/div>\n
We departed at 10:00 AM and arrived for lunch at Falkner at 11:30 AM.\u00a0 Paul tried the meal closest to his personality!\u00a0Wild Boar Bolognese<\/strong>!\u00a0 The menu said it was made of wild Boar, ground beef, garlic, shallots, Pomodoro sauce, basil, Parmesan cheese served with Pappardelle pasta.<\/p>\n Wild boar tastes like a cross between pork and beef, with a unique juicy succulence. The meat is a bit darker, perhaps due to the healthy iron content.<\/p>\n Wild Board on pasta!<\/p><\/div>\n Sue did the Crispy Brussel Sprouts <\/strong>which was served with sliced almonds, goat cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, fried egg, and a hibiscus drizzle.\u00a0 The key is to use the leaves and NOT the entire sprout!\u00a0 Place the individual Brussels sprouts leaves\u00a0 in a large baking dish or on a baking sheet. Add the garlic, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and pour over the olive oil. Toss to coat. Transfer to the oven and roast for 35 minutes.\u00a0 Then add the goodies!<\/p>\n The Brussels sprouts were really good!<\/p><\/div>\n Enjoying lunch<\/p><\/div>\n After lunch we tasted wine at Falkner and then drove through the valley tasting and picking up at our various wine clubs!<\/p>\n Leaving Falkner to head down the valley<\/p><\/div>\n We stayed until about 4:00 PM and then headed back.\u00a0 The traffic was not bad at all and we decided to stop at Old Ranch to see friends before going home!<\/p>\n On the way home, we got a text from Bob with a picture of our newest college grandson!\u00a0 Nick is doing well!<\/p>\n Our own BMOC (Big Man On Campus)<\/p><\/div>\n We watched two NCIS series we had recorded and then some Frazier before crashing!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" So… We gets an email from Falkner Winery that our wine was ready for pickup.\u00a0 If we didn’t pick it up by the 20th, they would ship it at a cost of $21.67!
