Sue got up earlier than Paul this morning! Paul was enjoying an extra long sleep. We had breakfast and then Greg came over the water.Yes… It is here. TIME magazine reports that “Cinco de Mayo started to come into vogue in 1940s America during the rise of the Chicano Movement.” The holiday crossed over from California into the rest of the United States in the 1950s and 1960s but did not gain popularity until the 1980s when marketers, especially beer companies, capitalized on the celebratory nature of the day and began to promote it. It grew in popularity and evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, first in areas with large Mexican-American populations, like Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and San Jose.<\/p>\n

We went to the market and Paul got in 50 minutes of walking around the store.\u00a0 Ralphs Market was wonderful about assisting us out.\u00a0 Paul has never asked for assistance but today, he said OK.\u00a0 The Ralph’s people made each of the bags quite small so it was easy to lift!\u00a0 We got a “20 can case” of Sprite for Mitch’s cocktails and the checkers busted up the case into four five-can plastic bags!<\/p>\n

Now that there is a lot of Bull<\/p><\/div>\n

We negotiated a peace so the Bull and all of us could site at the table.\u00a0 Linda and James were there and Jame E and Dave O popped in and out during the evening.<\/p>\n

Irene popped by on her way to The Phoenix Club which made the day perfect!<\/p>\n
